Northwest Literary Society organized the 2nd All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest on the 7th of June, 2024 Friday. Different institutions participated in the contest enthusiastically, including Khyber Medical College, Gomal Medical College, Gajju Khan Medical College, Nowshera Medical College, Rehman Medical Institute, Peshawar Medical College, and Khyber Girls Medical College.
The event started with the arrival of Chief Guest Dr. Aakif Ullah, Chief Medical Officer and Director at IRNUM Peshawar.
The contest comprised four different categories which included Urdu Serious, Urdu Humorous, English Serious, and English Humorous, and was chaired by Literary Secretary Muhammad Anas and NODS Head Alina Alamgir under the presidentship of Declamation Incharge Gohar Zaman. The jury of the contest included Dr. Awas Qarni, Dr. Ahmad Wali, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas and, Assistant Professor Siraj Khan.
In the English serious category, Javaria Salah of Khyber Medical College secured the first position, Kashmala Mehsud of Gajju Khan Medical College 2nd, and Zarak Khan of Gomal Medical College got 3rd Position.
In the Urdu serious category, M Hassanat Khan of Khyber Medical College secured first position, Wajahat Hanif of Khyber Medical College got 2nd, and Muhammad Salman Khan – Northwest School of Medicine got 3rd Position.
In the Urdu humorous category, Masooma Batool of Northwest School of Medicine secured the first position, Muhammad Hassan Gul of Gomal Medical College 2nd, and Shah Saud of Gomal Medical College got 3rd Position.
The champion trophy of the 2nd All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2024 was secured by Gomal Medical College.
