On May 24, 2024, a 7-member delegation from Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) visited the Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM). The delegation was led by Director General Regional Services Dr. Malik Tauqeer Ahmad Khan and included Registrar Major (Rt) Raja Umar Younas, Professor/Chairman Statistics Department Dr. Irshad Ahmad Arshad, Director, Academic Planning and Course Production Dr. Zahid Majeed, Controller of Examination Mr. Mian Muhammad Riaz, Additional Controller of Examination Mr. Rana Nadeem, and Deputy Regional Director RC Peshawar Dr. Nafees Bibi.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Principal NWSM Dr. Noor Ul Iman, who provided an overview of the institution’s mission, vision, and achievements. The visitors were then given a comprehensive tour of the campus by Vice Principal Research and HoD Community Medicine Dr. Waqar Ali, HoD Department of Medical Education Dr. Bilqis Hassan, and Assistant Manager HR/Admin Faisal Ahmad. The tour showcased the state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge research initiatives, and innovative teaching methods employed by NWSM.
The visit aimed to foster collaboration and exchange ideas between the two esteemed institutions, promoting academic excellence and contributing to the advancement of education in the region.
