On International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), observed annually on August 31st, the Department of Community Medicine at Northwest School of Medicine organized an event. Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali, Head of the Department and Vice Principal of Research briefed students on the significance of IOAD, highlighting its mission to combat overdose.
This year’s theme, ‘TOGETHER WE CAN,’ emphasizes the importance of recognizing individuals in our communities affected by overdose who may otherwise go unnoticed amidst the crisis. Faculty and students actively participated in the event, demonstrating their support for the overdose awareness campaign.
The awareness session concluded with a group photo featuring participants, faculty, and Prof. Dr. Noor Ul Iman, Principal of Northwest School of Medicine.
