Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM) held its 3rd Graduation Ceremony, awarding degrees to 105 male and female graduates of the MBBS batch of session 2018-2023. The ceremony took place at the College Auditorium, attended by distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, and graduating students.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Zia Ul Haq, Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU), graced the occasion. Other notable attendees included Mr. Inam Ullah Wazir, Registrar KMU; Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain, Principal NWSM; Prof. Dr. Sardar Muhammad Alam, Chairman Board Alliance Healthcare Ltd; and Malik Abdul Latif Awan, CEO AHL.
During the ceremony, five outstanding graduates were awarded gold medals for their exceptional performance. The gold medalists included:
Dr. Muhammad Raees secured four gold medals and achieved 1st Position in the 4th Professional Examination 2022 at NWSM and KMU, and 4th Position in the 5th Professional Exams 2023 at KMU. Dr. Shahab Ahmad, achieved 7th Position in the 4th Professional Exams 2022 at KMU, 1st Position in the 5th Professional Exam at NWSM, and 2nd at KMU 2023.
Dr. Farishta Hamayun, secured 1st Position in 2nd Professional Exams 2020 at NWSM, 1st Position in 3rd Professional Exam 2021 at NWSM, and 6th Position in 4th Professional Exam 2022 at KMU. Dr. Ehtisham ul Haq, who achieved 1st Position in the 1st Professional Exam 2019. Dr. Maria Shoaib, who secured 3rd Position in the 5th Professional Exam 2023.
Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain, Principal NWSM, welcomed the guests and congratulated the graduating students. He highlighted the college’s achievements and its role in the healthcare system and administered the oath to the new graduates.
Mr. Malik Abdul Latif Awan, CEO of AHL, emphasized Northwest’s commitment to maintaining high standards and producing skilled graduates for the healthcare system.
Prof. Zia Ul Haq, Vice Chancellor of KMU, addressed the participants and urged the graduating students to remain sincere in their profession, honor their teachers and parents, and uphold the dignity of the medical profession.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, as the graduating students embarked on their journey as medical professionals.
