World Immunization Week, celebrated in the last week of April, aims to highlight the collective action needed and to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease.
Community Medicine Department, NWSM arranged a seminar with collaboration of UNICEF. Dr. Kamran Qureshi (Immunization officer, UNICEF) and Dr. Waqar Ali (HOD, Community Medicine, NWSM) shared the importance, current situation and future goals regarding the immunization program in Pakistan.
Students distributed pamphlets and did a brief awareness session about immunization with patients, attendants and staff of Northwest School of Medicine.
